The history of the villa

The walls of this 18th-century manor house, carved into the rock at the foot of Colle Masua, located in Pedemonte, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico region, tell the story of a family that for centuries, from father to son, has preserved ancient knowledge of the art of winemaking. Today, Giovanni Battista Venturini, taking the name "Battista" from his maternal grandfather, has successfully relaunched the "Villa Crine" brand and products on the market, facing numerous challenges and managing, thanks to his wife Mara, over twenty years of sacrifice, to ensure that his products are appreciated throughout Europe and around the world. He is now joined by his children Giuseppe, an oenologist, and Diletta, a university student. The company is therefore entirely family-run, and its guiding philosophy is to jealously preserve and maintain the values ​​and teachings learned from a bygone tradition by integrating, unifying, and harmonizing the countless and continuous innovations in the oenological and viticultural fields. We pay complete attention to creating a quality product, adapting to the different weather conditions and terroir, respecting the ripening, drying, and storage times, and carrying out all production processes independently and personally, without any unnatural force. Terrain ​The company's properties are all located in the historic Valpolicella Classica area, in the most suitable areas with remarkable soil and microclimate diversity. To best express these micro-zones, we vinify the grapes from the most important vineyards separately. The hillside vineyards are cultivated on terraces made of dry stone walls, also known as "marogne."
